Al igual que los fondos de inversión, los ETFs están compuestos por una cesta de valores, y cada participación representa una cartera diversificada que replica la composición del índice al que están vinculados. Sin embargo, a diferencia de los fondos tradicionales, los ETFs se negocian en tiempo real durante toda la jornada bursátil, igual que las acciones. Esto permite a los inversores comprar y vender al precio del mercado en cualquier momento del día. Además, su valor liquidativo se publica al cierre de cada sesión.
